Selten vorkommende, durch Herpes-Viren ausgelöste Gehirnhautentzündung. Häufigste Virus- Enzephalitis bei Erwachsenen.

V.a. bei Neugeborenen und Kindern.

  • Akuter Beginn
  • Reduzierter AZ
  • Schwindel
  • Kopfschmerzen
  • Meningismus
  • hohes Fieber
  • Tinnitus aurium
  • Übelkeit, Erbrechen
  • Krampfanfälle
  • komatöser Bewusstseinszustand

  • Klinik
  • Virusisolation aus Liquor oder Blut
  • Procalcitonin ist nicht erhöht (bakt. Meningitis)
