Guinea pig mushroom.

Dermatophyte infection of the face.

Pathogen: T. mentagrophytes, M. canis (zoophilic), T. rubrum (anthropophilic).

Especially children and young people.

  • Erythematous, sharply demarcated, marginally accentuated, pruriginous, scaly plaques and follicularly bound pustules.
  • A manifestation is not infrequently visible in other localisations.
