Spongiotic dermatitis of the anus.
- Atopic genesis
- Toxic-cumulative genesis
- Contact-allergic genesis (moist toilet bowls)
Erythematous, sometimes confluent, often very pruritic papules in the area of the anus.
- Anamnesis (atopy, use of wet wipes, hygiene)
- Clinic
- Epicutaneous testing, if necessary,
- Atopy testing, if necessary
- If necessary, biopsy in case of resistance to therapy and suspicion of extramammary Paget's disease
- Candida smear, if necessary
Anal/Perianal.
Secondary colonisation with Candida albicans.
- Eliminating the cause, if possible.
- Short-term topical class III steroids.
- In the course, application of e.g. Protopic® – ointment.
- Tannosynt sitz bath
- Liquor carbonis detergens (Helps some patients a lot, but local irritation may occur. The smell is distressing for many patients
