Palmoplantar keratosis with mutation in the keratin 1 gene.

Autosomal dominant mutation of the keratin 1 gene.

Initiation in the first years of life.

Diffuse palmoplantar keratosis with transgression to the dorsum of the hands and feet.

Hyperkeratotic plaques on knees, elbows and other localisations.

Genetic examination, regarding a mutation in keratin 1.

Familial occurrence?

Initiation of hyperkeratosis.

From the 4th decade of life, the disease usually comes to a standstill.
