Trichomonadenurethritis.
Sexually transmitted disease. The pathogen Trichomonas vaginalis causes urethritis or colpitis.
Women are more frequently affected and have complaints more often than men. 20% of women between the ages of 16 and 35 have had an infection at least once.
Trichomonas vaginalis prefers cornified mucosal surfaces, such as the urethra. The bladder and urethra are rarely affected.
15-20% of all infected women show symptoms. Characteristics are whitish yellowish discharge, dysuria and discomfort during sexual intercourse.

Microscopic examination of smear material from vaginal vault, cervix and urethra.

The patient should not have emptied the bladder for 2 hours
