Approx. 500,000 deaths / year.
The reservoir of the pathogen is man. Asymptomatic excretion is also possible.
Erythematous maculae (roseoles) can develop abdominal and transform into papules in the course.
Healing can take place with postinflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Stool sample for pathogen detection.
Serological antibody detection.
Extended capillaries correlate with roseoles.
The detection of the pathogen must be reported.
