Contraindications

pregnancy, lactation, renal and gastrointestinal dysfunctions, severe liver dysfunction, malignant diseases, hypersensitivity to fumaric acid esters

Anamnesis points, selected side effects and measures

Gastrointestinal complaints (~60 % in the first weeks), flush -> intake in the evening with milk. Lym- phopenie -> under 500/μl dose reduction or stop. Eosinophilia -> always temporary. Abdominal cramps, flatulence
