Lipid status, liver enzymes and fasting glucose before therapy start pregnancy test (see applications/recommendations)

Ø dosage 0.5-1.0 mg/kg, start with a low dosage, CAVE: 4-6 weeks after the start of therapy, acne may temporarily increase, then consider combination with cortisone p.o.

4 - 8 weeks

No combination with tetracyclines -> danger of pseudotumor cerebri. 4-6 weeks after start, acne may worsen, then intercept with steroids inflammation.

Absolutely: Pregnancy/breastfeeding time. Women of childbearing age: one month before the start of therapy, during therapy and one month after the end of therapy, use pregnancy test and two contraceptive methods. Have the teratogenicity forms signed. Relative: Diabetes, hepatopathies or nephropathies, dyslipidemia.

Depression, bone pain, blepharitis, conjunctivitis, dry eye and mouth, eye irritation, cheilitis, dermatitis, dry skin, localized exfoliation, pruritus, erythematous skin rash, skin injury (risk of abrasions), increase in triglycerides in the blood, reduction in high density lipoproteins (HDL) -> lipid reducers.

It should not be more than 150mg / kg bw total to be used. Calculate the total dose regularly.
